    For years the Richmond Boat Show has been recognized as one of the best boat shows in Central Virginia. Covering nearly 110,000 square feet in four buildings, it attracts dealers from throughout Virginia. Boats on display from 18 dealers include runabouts, saltwater fishing boats, ski boats, pontoon boats, deck boats, jet boats, PWCs, motor yachts and bass boats. Additional exhibits include boat lifts, floating docks, marine electronics, water sports and safety equipment.Experts will be on hand to give information and answer questions about marinas, financing, insurance, boat maintenance and repair and boating safety. NEW FOR 2018- Is the 26,000 gallon Paddle Sports Pool. Here you can demo your favorite paddle craft before buying. Try your chance catching up to a 1000 pound marlin at the exclusive Offshore Fishing Simulator! Plus catch nationally recognized seminars from Captain Chris Caldwell. Hours are Friday noon - 8pm, Saturday 10am - 8pm and Sunday 10am - 5pm. Adult admission is $10 and kids 12 and under are free.

    The Shelby Rocks Womanless Pageant is a comic event/fundraiser where men dress like woman to help raise the money for cancer research. All profits are donated to the Shelby Rocks Alliance.     The IPMS Richmond Old Dominion Open Scale Model Show & Contest The old Dominion Open (ODO) has been a Richmond tradition for decades now and is one of the largest scale modeling shows on the east coast. It features over 60 contest categories with First, Second and Third place awards, plus ten special awards, including Best In Show. There are over 120 vendor tables, display-only tables, a huge kit drawing and many more things for you to enjoy! Doors open at 8:30am, registration closes at 12:30pm and awards ceremony is at 4:30pm.
